Here you will meet the backbone of how and what we do. The cast of characters goes beyond what you will see on this page but this will give you a glimpse into some of the incredible people we are blessed to work along side with. We even put in a few photos of the school children so you can be inspired to reach for the stars, dream beyond your biggest dream and encourage the children in your life to do the same.
Hallelujah-Project Manager
A bright, young and beautiful Ethipian woman, we have been richly blessed by our opportunity to work with Hallalujah. At first a translator and friend, she quickly became an integral part of the work of Six Baer Essentials. Helping to bridge cultural gaps, teaching traditions, history, and more her sweet, calming personality is a true gift to the work being done in impovrished communties in Ethiopia.
Wendenson
Wendenson is Habti’s 22 year old son. He was brought to Addis a couple of years ago by Habti in an effort to provide him with more opportunity for work to help support the family.
Wendenson is now one of the teachers of the Six Baer after school program and also helps out with various projects.
Metuko
Metu is a young man that has lived in Dahley his entire life. His family has farmed the land near our current after school program for centuries. He is currently teaching at the after school program.
Tsigey
Tsigey cooks forone of our after school program three times gathering the food, cooking and providing our 20 children with a warm meal. A calming force at the school she is equally capable and calming while cooking for community meals of over 200 people. She has also taught the Baer’s how to cook on a traditional charcoal stove, how to prepare spices, food, chickens and more.
